Proposals and Resolutions of the 33rd General Body Meeting Date: Friday, May 9, 2025 Time: 5:00 PM Venue: Senior Citizen Bhavan, Conference Hall The 33rd General Body Meeting of the Association was convened at the designated time and venue. The meeting proceeded in an orderly manner, during which the following agenda items were discussed and resolutions passed: 1. Welcome Address: The meeting commenced with a cordial welcome address delivered by the President, Dr. Jayant Kumar Garu, who expressed his appreciation for the presence and continued support of the members. 2. Introduction of New Members: Newly inducted members, Sri C.H. Vasudeva Reddy Garu and Sri B. Venkateshwara Gupta Garu, were warmly welcomed into the association. Their introduction was met with enthusiastic applause by the gathering. 3. Birthday Felicitations: Warm birthday greetings were extended to members born in the month of May. As a mark of respect and goodwill, Sri K. Pandurangaiah Garu, Sri Vadlamani Satyanarayana Murthy Garu, and Sri K. Vijay Kumar Garu (SBI) were felicitated with shawls, graciously presented by Executive Member Sri C.H. Lakshman Garu. On this occasion, Sri K. Vijay Kumar Garu also offered fresh coconut water to all attendees. 4. Acknowledgement of Past Event: The President expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members who contributed to the successful organization of the Sri Jagdeeshwar Goud Felicitation Program, held on April 28, 2025. 5. Chit Fund Lottery Result: The second round of the association’s chit fund lottery was conducted, with Sri A. Subbarao Garu emerging as the successful recipient. 6. Initiation of Third Chit Fund Series: The President explained the rationale behind initiating a third chit fund series to address outstanding liabilities. Each participant will contribute ₹10,000 monthly. This friendly chit will operate with monthly lotteries, with the collected sum awarded to the winner. The first instalment, however, will go directly to the association, without a draw. With 10 members, the scheme will span 11 months, with the first month's contribution being treated as a donation to the association. 7. Acknowledgement of Donors: Sri V. Venu Mohan Rao Garu, Treasurer & Finance Secretary, detailed the names and contributions—both financial and in-kind—of those who supported the building construction. 8. Administrative Assignment: The responsibility for maintaining the stock register and office records was formally entrusted to Sri K.K. Sharma Garu. 9. Sustainability and Reserve Fund: The President emphasized the importance of sustaining the newly constructed building through proper management and maintenance. A proposal was discussed to establish a Reserve Fund to support national celebrations such as Independence Day and Republic Day, as well as regular upkeep. A voluntary contribution of ₹5,000 per member was suggested. Several members came forward to contribute immediately. o Members of the third chit fund series are exempt from this contribution, as their initial instalment is directed to the association. o Members who joined before August 2024 have already contributed towards construction. Members who joined subsequently are encouraged to support the Reserve Fund as per their means. 10. Revision of Membership Fee: A unanimous resolution was passed to revise the membership fee for new members to ₹5,000, allocated as follows: o ₹200: Membership Fee o ₹1,000: Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) o ₹3,800: Reserve Fund Contribution. 11. Tribute and Solidarity Pledge: A two-minute silence was observed during the April 28 program in solemn memory of those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terrorist attacks. In a collective expression of unity and patriotism, members stood to recite the following Solidarity Pledge: Solidarity Pledge with the Government of India. "I solemnly pledge to tirelessly work for the integrity, unity, progress, and honour of India. I vow to support, in thought, word, and deed, any measures taken by the Government of India to protect our nation and its citizens from terrorist attacks. I also pledge to always stand behind our soldiers, who, separated from their families and enduring harsh conditions, fight for our country, not knowing if they will return home. I pray to God for peace to the souls of our Indian brothers and soldiers who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat!" 12. Vote of Thanks: The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by General Secretary Sri V. Narasimha Rao, who expressed appreciation for the participation and commitment of all members.
